Yosemite

The second place that the family headed to while Michael visited during April was Yosemite. Although it was a long drive from home to Yosemite, the beautiful nature was definitely worth it!

Yosemite is known for the various waterfalls that can be spotted throughout.

This is the second waterfall that we saw. It had a huge tree that fell in front of it! It was so wide that we had to climb to get on top of it.

There were a lot of waterfalls that were peek-a-boo-ing through the trees and could be seen when we were hiking on the trails.

These next few pictures show the highlight of our trip! There was a large tree that fell on its side and we decided to climb on top of it. Michael and Dad were afraid of heights so they were only able to go a certain amount, but Jessica bravely climbed to a very high spot.

Another beautiful part about the hike trails were the huge rocks. They were climbable, which made them even more fun!

Muir Woods

When Michael came to America to visit during April, our family went to several places as a family trip. The first place we went was Muir Woods where we hiked and spent a lot of family time together. Muir Woods famous for being the film spot for Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Through the pictures, you can see that it definitely makes a beautiful backdrop for a nature movie.

Here are some shots of the entrance to the natural monument:

After a long hike, we decided to sit at a picnic bench to have a break and eat some lunch.

The entire hike was filled with the smell of nature and beautiful trees.

Visiting Korea

For three years, the whole family never had the chance to visit Korea together. Dad had visited Korea often for business trips and Mom had visited to see Michael. However, this was a chance for everyone to visit altogether.

Since the drive back up to Seoul from Michael's base would take too long, the family decided to save some time by staying near Michael's base and exploring Korea's "Land's End".

This was the lower tip of the peninsula.

Next, the family went to an observatory through which we were able to look over the ocean that surrounds the edge of the peninsula.

Overall, the entire trip was really good for the family, since we hadn't been able to be reunited as a whole for around three years. With lots of fun memories and experiences, the trip in Korea came to an end.
